While working at Vital I find myself wearing multiple fitness trackers. For running I have a Garmin, and for everything else an Apple Watch and an Oura ring. Garmin is too rugged and big to be comfortable to sleep with, so I miss recovery stats. Garmin uses both the activity and sleep to come up with a holistic view of my training and rest.
A remark my partner shared with me, is that I never take a shower wearing either the Apple Watch, or the Oura ring. And the same is true for swimming. I don’t even think about it too much, I just taken them off, because I am concerned I will damage them. Both are capable of going under water, but for some reason I only trust Garmin for unfriendly environments. Is this brand influencing my perception, or something else?
