Erik

I remember Erik Meijer for three reasons. First his exquisite taste in shirts. Second his course on Functional Programming. And third something he said about developers. For the latter I am crudely paraphrasing him - I heard this several years ago:

Young developers should look at coding as a sport. You need to practise every day, without excuses, and pushing yourself to become better.

I keep this idea in the back of my mind.
