Gas acquired by Discord

Just read the news that Nikita Bier sold his app to Discord. At Sphere we were working on the social space as well - not entirely related to Gas, but not too far either. The continuous expansion of Discord into communities makes me wonder. How well the Sphere team would have done there, instead of being acquired by Twitter. An alternative timeline.
