Grabbing candidates attention

Grabbing attention is a difficult thing to do. We have tried many things to make sure that people read the full spec, before applying. These were the three main approaches:

  1. Make sure that there are few requirements and those are crystal clear.
  2. Ask the candidate to read our Hiring Manifesto - so they know what to expect.
  3. When applying add a “Let’s do this!” as the email title.

Based on questions I get during the interview process, very few candidates come prepared.
