🌳 New Opportunities TLDR

Despite the current environment in tech, I have decided to resign from my position as Head of Engineering at Vital. I am now looking for a new role. I am currently focused on managing humans, but I am equally proficient as an IC.

What I am looking for:

  • Flexible schedule, where what’s important is work delivered, rather than time spent in the office/online.

As a manager…

  • Led a team of 30 engineers, during an hyper-growth phase - from 110 people to more than 1200. This team was made of individual contributors and other managers. I am proud of building a world-class team and not having lost a single engineer (100% retain rate) throughout my 3 years tenure in a high intensity environment.
  • Saved closed to a quarter of million pounds on recruitment referral fees.
  • Involved in multi-million projects, like NHS 111, GP@Hand, the Prudential parternship and Telus.
  • Experienced managing frontend, backend and dev-op engineers, across multiple squads.
  • Experienced working with customers directly and doing sales.
  • Experienced at defining processes, best practises and setting an engineering culture of excellence.
