Physics Paralysis

I was listening to Eric Weinstein with great interest the other day. You can find the episode here. Something he touched was the apparent stagnation of progress in fundamental physics since the 70’s. That a lot of funding is going to things that have not offered any value (i.e. String Theory and Quantum Gravity). Of course, I took it with a grain of salt, given Eric’s background and his reputation in physics circles. However, the same was said by Roger Penrose and Sabine Hossenfelder in this video. Well worth your time.
