Writer's block
It’s curious that throughout the day I have these wonderful ideas for posts. Things that I read, or experience, that I believe could be of interest to others. But because I usually write in the evenings, my mind becomes a blank canvas. Everything vanishes. I now start to realise why so many people use notes in the iPhone. It’s just there, always available. Instead my thought process is that the idea I just conjured would be there waiting for me, when I finally settle down and I am ready to write. What a preposterous thought.
In any case, so this isn’t a waste for anyone reading this, I recently learned about vomit draft, or vomit writing. There are a couple of definitions online about it. The one I liked the most is to allow oneself to just write, without stopping to fix, or correct, past sentences. It’s a useful method to break writer’s block.
